A letter to the Editor

I can't help but wonder why some people are so insistent on appointing our superintendent instead of allowing the people to have their voice (vote)?

The record shows that six times we have said no. Now, what part of no do the school borad members not understand? What is the real motivation behind this push? Is it to allow the business community (i.e., World Class Schools) to have and/or obtain more power in our school system? We said no before and we say no now.

Stop this foolishness and get back to the real problems in our schools. -- Chris Hughes Winter Haven
