Lake Wales ordinance nixes extra garbage fee for some
LAKE WALES - The Lake Wales City Commission is expected to pass an ordinance that eliminates a back-door solid-waste pickup fee.
The ordinance was unanimously passed on first reading during the commission's Nov. 18 meeting. The commission will take up the matter again Tuesday when it meets at 6 p.m. at City Hall at 201 W. Central Ave.
